Spandex and elastic don’t always age very well, so finding a vintage swimsuit that’s in great condition is quite a treasure. Vintage style one-pieces have been all-the-rage for the past few summers, so when I saw this backless swimsuit at St. Patrick’s Thrift Shop in Larkspur, I impulse bought it. Which was super easy, because it was marked down from $5 to $1! The simple lines and modern cut have major J.Crew/Banana Republic vibes.
After a quick wash in my washing machine’s hot cycle in a mesh bag and an afternoon air-drying in the sun, my “new” suit was ready for the beach.
