Despite being identical twins, Britt and I actually have slightly different fashion styles. Our parents were careful to foster our individuality as we were growing up, and while certain similarities between us are persistent and undeniable, we’re different enough that sometimes it’s fun to shop for each other. I love finding a fantastic piece that I probably wouldn’t wear but would be perfect for my sister.
That’s where this fantastic coat with its jumbo plaid print came from. Britt thrifted this and gave it to me for Christmas last year. Of all my winter clothes, it’s the piece I look forward to digging out of seasonal storage the most. For one thing, other than ski gear, it’s the warmest piece of clothing I have. The big bold pattern is also irresistibly festive, making it the perfect top layer for holiday party looks.
